Dormant Oil Spray Application

The first activity of the spring for your trees and plants is a dormant oil spray, which serves the purpose of coating over-wintering insects hiding in tree trunk and limb bark with a suffocating layer of oil. This activity normally takes place in late Feb – early March but with the extended winter weather this year, the timing will be late March – early April.

The advantage of this application includes activity against most species of mites and scales, including activity on eggs.
